Varun Autism Reach society, Miyapur:
“Varun Autism Reach Society” (VARS), previously known as
“Supportive Learning centre” was established in 2012. Started by a parent, for
a Parent, to share experiences of life and journey with her son. VARS is a
place where parents are trained, counselled and given support to learn to deal
with their children, which helps them to nurture and understand their needs and
capabilities and in turn make them independent in daily life activities and
environmental situations be it school, social gathering, peer interaction etc. the vision is to reach
out to parents with autistic children and guide them to be confident parents in
handling their children. The motto being “Mother is the best teacher”. By
training a child, one needs to depend on therapists, but by training a parent,
this single therapist is enough to handle the child. Our slogan is “Educate the
mother first, later the child”.
